Happy As a Clam (Music and Lyrics: Joanie Leeds) You’re as happy as a clam; you’re in puppy love, you lucky duck. When there are lovebirds soon enough, if you’re quiet as a mouse you’ll get stuck. So stay a busy bee, always talk about the elephants in the room. Or you’ll end up in the doghouse if you’re stubborn as a mule. Stop talking turkey, silly goose. That’s what really gets their goat, holy cow! You can’t weasel your way out with that hogwash when you’re neither fish nor fowl. Has the cat caught your tongue? You seem antsy and you’re crying crocodile tears. When your mad as a hornet, my dear, the buck stops here. Take the bull by the horns and give a bear hug. Make nice and line up all your ducks in a row. Soon you’ll be snug as a bug in a rug, so doggone happy, you know. You’ll be having a whale of a time as you go. But I’ve been working like a dog, I'm so hungry I could eat a horse. Once we’re finished pigging out, I’ll get a doggie bag to wolf down later, of course. I’m as proud as a peacock that you’re mine and from this bird's-eye view, You are the cats meow, I have butterflies in my belly. I got a sheepish grin, my birdbrains gone to jelly. Like a moth to the flame, I’ll make an animal out of you. See You Later, Alligator, in a while Crocodile!

about

"Animal-crazed kids will dig these tunes, including "Mosquitoes," "Tofurky Song" and "Froggie Went a Courtin'," a swingy spin on the classic children's ballad."
-PEOPLE MAGAZINE

"Kids -- and parents -- will definitely learn a thing or two about animals with this indie rock CD that's fun from start to finish."
-PARENTS MAGAZINE

"Local chanteuse Joanie Leeds's latest will be a hit with young zoologists in the making—every song on the CD features a different animal friend. Listen up for a take on the traditional "Froggie Went a Courtin'" with an appearance from rapper Secret Agent 23 Skidoo, a cover of the Phish song "Possum" and the sweet original "My Butterfly."
-TIME OUT NY KIDS

"If You Go...is one of the catchiest pieces of music I've heard in a long time. And Leeds, with her pure pop vocals, is just as adept at sweet ballads, as evidenced by the lovely "Hummingbird" and "My Butterfly." This is one of the best albums of the year so far.
-AOL KID BOP

"The melodies take refreshing, unexpected twists and turns that allow Leeds' voice to shine, all without distracting from the well-written and charmingly simple lyrics."
